ANAAL NATHRAKH To Release ‘The Whole Of The Law’ Album In October
ANAAL NATHRAKH was created for one purpose — to be the soundtrack for Armageddon, the audial essence of evil, hatred and violence, the true spirit of necro taken to its musical extremes. Since 1999, they have gained a reputation for embodying precisely these things — and now, with their new album, "The Whole Of The Law", ANAAL NATHRAKH has reached the very height of their twisted powers.
Due out October 28 via Metal Blade Records, "The Whole Of The Law" marries all of the two-piece’s trademark ferocity and against-all-reason-catchiness with a reinvigorated sense of focus and insane hatred.
Error! Filename not specified.
For a first preview of the album, the new single, "Depravity Favours the Bold", can be streamed below.
"The Whole Of The Law" is available for pre-order at metalblade.com/anaalnathrakh in the following formats:

* digipak CD (limited to 3000 copies!)
* 180g black vinyl
* cool grey marble vinyl (limited to 300 copies!)
* black/white splatter vinyl (EMP exclusive; limited to 200 copies!)
* an exclusive t-shirt bundle, plus digital options are also available!
Uniquely hallmarked by breathtaking musical intensity, inventiveness and breadth, married with mercurial, misanthropic and sharp intelligence, ANAAL NATHRAKH‘s sound is imbued with a palpable sense of menace that is virtually unmatched in metal.
"The Whole of the Law" is described in a press release as "a sandblasting assault similar to the experience of a demented ocular surgeon operating on one’s head while riding a rollercoaster through hell. Simultaneously fresh and their most mature creation to date, ‘The Whole Of The Law’ will surely earn accolades from fans and media alike, once again."

Original AC/DC singer Dave Evans has entered a recording studio in Trondheim, Norway with the Norwegian rock band BARBED WIRE to record material for a possible four-song EP. As part of the sessions, Evans resurrected a song that he wrote and performed with AC/DC called "Sunset Strip", keeping most of the original lyrics but giving it a new arrangement. This 12-bar rock and roll track was never recorded, but was popular with the AC/DC fans, and Evans is said to be excited about bringing this new version of the song back to life.
Evans and BARBED WIRE previously toured together in Norway and Sweden. Video footage of a couple of their performances can be seen below.
Evans recently said that he would have returned to the band if he had been asked to step in for Brian Johnson on the Australian group’s European tour.
AC/DC postponed the last ten dates of its North American trek after doctors told Johnson he faced a total loss of hearing if he did not stop touring immediately. AC/DC has since resumed its tour with GUNS N’ ROSES frontman Axl Rose as a "guest vocalist," with Johnson apparently not returning to the group.
Asked by Finland’s Kaaos TV if he would have done the recent European shows with AC/DC if he had been asked to rejoin the group, Evans said: "Well, it depends how much they wanna pay me? [Laughs] You know, I’m busy. But, yeah, it depends on money, mate. If they wanted to pay me enough money, of course I’d do it. You’d do it too, if they asked you. But, yeah, of course."
Earlier in the year, Evans had kind words for Johnson, who admitted in a 2014 interview that his hearing loss wasn’t due to playing loud rock music every night for a living but was the result of Johnson‘s other obsession: auto racing.
"A lot of people make jokes about going deaf from listening to loud music," Evans told The Sydney Morning Herald back in March. "It’s never been a problem for me.
"I just thought it was sad news. It’s your lifeblood as a singer, live performances are so personal, without the crowd and the adrenaline, it’s going to be hard for him. Performances are the big highs in our lives."
Evans added that his return to AC/DC would probably never happen. But, he said, "it would be nice to do one guest performance. [Former members] were all part of the band no matters what era they were from."

Skeletonwitch have transcended genre boundaries over the past decade with their trademark mixture of blackened thrash, death and heavy metal. It should therefore come as no surprise that their new EP, The Apothic Gloom (due August 19th), features some of their catchiest riffs and most pummeling rhythms to date, as well as more shredding than ever before. Ahead of the release this Friday, a full EP stream can now be found below.
Channeling new energy via the addition of Adam Clemans (Wolvhammer) on vocals, the Ohio-based quintet headed to Baltimore’s Developing Nations Studio earlier this year to record The Apothic Gloom with producer Kevin Bernstein (Noisem, Mutilation Rites).
The complete tracklisting for The Apothic Gloom is as follows:
"The Apothic Gloom"
"Well Of Despair"
"Black Waters"
"Red Death, White Light"
